An organization’s values are it’s heart: they reflect the spirit of the organization, they help guide all decisions and activities, and serve as a filter or “litmus” test for future decisions and activities.
Many of our projects often begin with us helping our clients identify their organizational values. Here are ours:
Wilson & Associates creates opportunities so that interpersonal relationships become the foundation for successful engagement.
Social Justice and Race Equity:
Wilson & Associates will illuminate racial and all other inequities; support and promote social change agendas; continue to be responsive to issues of race/ethnicity, gender, class, culture, and power.
Co-design and partnership:
Wilson & Associates co-designs and co-creates with clients, working with clients as partners with the utmost respect.
Wilson & Associates will always be transparent, value differences, build on similarities, facilitate conflicts in a positive way, and appreciate all perspectives.
Evidence and Innovation:
Wilson & Associates stays committed to learning and peer exchanges, stays guided by research and data, and uplifts local best and promising practices.
Wilson & Associates facilitates and creates spaces for candid, non-violent communication between partners that move us to improved practice and outcomes.

“I am passionate about connecting with others to create a more just and equitable world. My personal belief is that social change and social justice will be achieved:
when we as individuals heal and move into alignment with the highest aspiration of who we can be
when organizations move into alignment with their vision and values; and
when the institutions and systems meant to serve the public are aligned to do so more ethically and equitably.
I’ve spent the last 22 years partnering with leaders around these levels of alignment, all while finding the fun and joy along the way.”
Chrysta Wilson has spent the last 22 years supporting efforts that advance equity and justice in communities across the United States.
This work is a calling: it was born from the stories her parents told her about their growing up during legalized segregation in “Jim Crow” North Carolina. It was born from her own navigation of covert and overt racism and classism that she experienced in her childhood growing up in the same region.
Ultimately, she is committed to supporting people, organizations, and institutions in their transformations so they are better positioned to accomplish their vision connected to equity, liberation, and justice.
She deeply understands that social change and social justice cannot be achieved without naming how the belief of White Supremacy has shaped the systems and institutions within the United States that have created the disparities that the entire Nonprofit, Philanthropic, and Public Sector is organized to address.
Chrysta has served as a coach, evaluator, community builder, strategist, storyteller and facilitator to help those committed to changing the world do so more effectively. She loves helping others plan for results, design strategies, evaluate their impact, tell their stories, and ultimately co-create the world we want to live in.
Chrysta loves helping people connect to their purpose, maximize their impact, minimize burnout, and find joy and hope along the road toward justice. Through coaching she creates supportive and reflective spaces where humanity is nurtured, imagination is sparked, dreams are born, and recipes for individual and organizational transformation are developed.
Chrysta has a Masters of Public Administration with a focus in organizational and community development, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Policy, both from the University of Southern California. She also an International Coach Federation (ICF) Certified Professional Coach holding an Associate Certified Coach Credential.
She is a published author, avid cook and baker, and scuba diver temporarily out of the ocean.
