Craft Equitable (Not Exploitative) Stories That Advance Social Change.

Our Clients Include:

Stories are one of the greatest tools to inspire others & build human connections.

1) For those of us who are committed to making the world a better place, stories help us amplify the changes that are needed.

The way we've been taught to craft stories has become more about their transactional use, for dollars and followers.

2) Along the way, we started treating the people in our stories-the community member we serve, our program participants, clients, community partners--in a transactional way, too.

The people we care about are now often reduced to their challenges and lowest moments.

3) The stories we've told have inflated how our organizations and programs "saved" people.

They didn't give people credit for their own hard work.

Sometimes those stories reinforced biases and stereotypes, too.

4) The way we have been taught to craft stories has created unintended harm to the very people we got into our careers to support in the first place.

This is what makes our stories exploitative.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Storytelling Can Make Change
& Raise Dollars.
  • We can tell stories that elevate the challenges we know exist.

  • We can talk about the good work our organizations are doing.

  • And we can raise funds and build an audience, too.

We just need some new tools and some time in The Lab.

Let's get to work.

Hi, I'm Chrysta!

I am an ICF-certified coach, trainer, adviser, speaker, podcaster, DEI-strategist, and consultant who has a 20+ year career working to advance racial justice, intersectional equity, and human thriving.

Over the last two decades, I've seen the way that organizations have had to share the impact they've made while walking tht fine line of "case studies" and "saviorism" for win dollars to sustain their good works.

There is a better way to craft messages that advance social change and amplify I.D.E.A.L.Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Antiracism + Accessibility, and Liberation.

I look forward to showing you how in my I.D.E.A.L. Storytelling Lab!
